ZERO CARB BREAD

Here’s a ZERO-CARB–STYLE bread recipe (technically 0 net carbs) that’s popular with keto/carnivore eaters 🍞

⚠️ Note: Truly zero carbs isn’t possible with traditional bread, but this has zero net carbs (fiber cancels carbs).


Zero-Net-Carb Bread (Egg White & Fiber Bread)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup liquid egg whites (or whites from ~8 eggs)
  • ½ cup bamboo fiber (or oat fiber — NOT oat flour)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cream of tartar (helps structure)

Optional

  • ½ tsp garlic powder or onion powder
  • Sesame or everything-bagel seasoning on top

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  3. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in bamboo fiber, salt, and vinegar.
  5. Pour into pan and smooth top.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes, until set and lightly golden.
  7. Cool completely before slicing (very important).

  • Light, airy, and neutral-flavored
  • Great for:
    • Toast
    • Sandwiches
    • Grilled cheese (keto cheese)
    • Garlic bread

  • Net carbs: 0 g
  • Protein: High
  • Fat: Very low
  • Calories: ~25–30

Tips for Success

  • 🥚 Don’t overmix once fiber is added
  • 🍞 Let it cool fully or it will collapse
  • ❄️ Freezes very well (slice first)
