Here’s a Warm Baked Apple Fritters recipe 🍎🍩—soft inside, lightly crisp outside, and perfect with a simple glaze.

Warm Baked Apple Fritters

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 fritters)

Fritters

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    • In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Mix wet ingredients
    • In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine
    • Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
    • Fold in diced apples.
  5. Bake
    • Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet (mound slightly).
    • Bake 14–18 minutes, until golden and set.
  6. Glaze & warm
    • Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth.
    • Drizzle over warm fritters.
  7. Serve
    • Enjoy warm for best flavor and texture.

Tips & Variations

  • 🍎 Sauté apples with butter and cinnamon first for deeper flavor
  • 🍯 Add a drizzle of honey or maple glaze instead
  • 🌰 Add chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 🔥 Broil for 1–2 minutes after glazing for a crisp top (watch closely)

If you’d like, I can also give you a yeast-style fritter, an air fryer version, or a cinnamon roll glaze option.
