Here’s a simple, moist strawberry cake recipe you can make at home 🍓🎂

Homemade Strawberry Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1¾ cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup fresh strawberry purée (blend fresh strawberries)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Strawberry Frosting (optional)

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup strawberry purée (or jam)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch pans.
  2. Dry mix: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Eggs: Add eggs one at a time.
  5. Flavor: Mix in strawberry purée and vanilla.
  6. Combine: Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk.
  7. Bake: Pour into pans and bake 25–30 minutes. Cool completely.
  8. Frosting: Beat butter, powdered sugar, strawberry purée, and vanilla until fluffy.
  9. Assemble: Frost and enjoy!

Tips

  • For stronger strawberry flavor, simmer purée to reduce it before adding.
  • Add a drop of pink food coloring if you want a brighter color.
  • Works great as cupcakes (bake ~18–20 min).
