Here’s a simple Stir-Fried Noodles recipe 🍜—quick, tasty, and easy to customize.


Stir-Fried Noodles

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 8 oz noodles (lo mein, spaghetti, rice noodles, or ramen without seasoning)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced (optional)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas)
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten (optional)
  • ½ cup protein (chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu – optional)

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional but recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles
    • Boil noodles according to package directions.
    • Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Stir-fry protein (if using)
    • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
    • Cook protein until done. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook aromatics & veggies
    • Add remaining oil.
    • Stir-fry garlic and ginger 30 seconds.
    • Add vegetables and cook 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Add egg (optional)
    • Push veggies to the side, pour in egg, scramble quickly.
  5. Combine
    • Add noodles and cooked protein.
    • Pour in sauce.
    • Toss everything together 2–3 minutes until hot and coated.
  6. Serve
    • Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.

Tips & Variations

  • 🌶 Add chili oil or sriracha for heat
  • 🍋 Add a squeeze of lime for brightness
  • 🥬 Use lots of cabbage for a takeout-style noodle dish
  • 🍜 For extra smoky flavor, cook on high heat and don’t overcrowd the pan
