Instructions
- Make the patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef, milk, crackers, egg, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4–6 oval patties. - Brown the steaks
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until browned.
Remove and set aside (they’ll finish cooking in the gravy). - Cook onions
In the same skillet, add butter and onions. Cook until soft and golden, about 8–10 minutes. - Make the gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute.
Slowly add beef broth and Worcestershire, stirring until smooth. - Simmer
Return hamburger steaks to the skillet.
Cover and simmer 15–20 minutes, until gravy thickens and patties are cooked through.
