Here’s an easy, reliable Slow Cooker Stuffing Mix—moist, fluffy, and perfect when oven space is tight.


Slow Cooker Stuffing Mix

Ingredients (6–8 servings)

  • 1 box stuffing mix (Stove Top or similar)
  • 1½ cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten (optional, for a firmer texture)
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup diced celery
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning or sage
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional add-ins:
    • Cooked sausage or bacon
    • Mushrooms
    • Dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Prep slow cooker
    Lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker.
  2. Mix ingredients
    In a large bowl, combine stuffing mix, onion, celery, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    Stir in broth, melted butter, and eggs (if using). Mix gently.
  3. Cook
    Transfer mixture to slow cooker.
    Cover and cook:

    • LOW: 4–5 hours
    • HIGH: 2–3 hours
  4. Fluff & serve
    Gently fluff with a fork before serving.

Tips for Best Results

  • For crispy edges, uncover the last 30 minutes
  • Don’t over-stir while cooking
  • Use low-sodium broth if your mix is salty

Variations

  • Cornbread stuffing: Use cornbread stuffing mix
  • Herb boost: Add fresh parsley or thyme at the end
  • Vegetarian: Use veggie broth and skip meat
  • Extra moist: Add ¼ cup more broth
