Slow Cooker Beef Patties and Mushrooms
Ingredients (serves 4)
Beef Patties
- 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20 for flavor)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt & black pepper
Gravy & Mushrooms
- 16 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp cold water
How to Make It
- Form patties
Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Shape into 4–6 patties. - Optional sear (worth it)
Brown patties in a skillet 2 minutes per side for extra flavor. - Layer in slow cooker
Add mushrooms and onions to the bottom.
Place patties on top. - Add gravy base
Whisk beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire.
Pour over patties. - Cook
Cover and cook 6–7 hours on LOW or 3–4 hours on HIGH. - Thicken gravy
Stir cornstarch slurry into slow cooker.
Cover and cook another 20–30 minutes until thickened.
Serve With
- Mashed potatoes
- Egg noodles
- Rice or buttered toast
Tips & Variations
- Add sour cream at the end for stroganoff vibes
- Use cream of mushroom soup instead of broth for extra richness
