Here’s an easy, crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside recipe for Sliced Baked Potatoes 🥔✨
They’re great as a side dish or loaded up with toppings.


🥔 Sliced Baked Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4–6 russet or Yukon gold potatoes
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chives, bacon bits, parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 400°F (205°C)
  2. Prep the potatoes
    • Wash and scrub potatoes well.
    • Slice into ¼–½ inch thick rounds (try to keep them even).
  3. Season
    • Toss slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Bake
    • Arrange slices in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
    • Bake for 20 minutes, flip, then bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and tender.
  5. Optional toppings
    • Sprinkle cheese on top and return to oven for 5 minutes until melted.
    • Finish with chives or parsley.

🔥 Extra Crispy Tips

  • Soak sliced potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes, then dry well.
  • Use convection (fan) if available.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan.

🍽️ Flavor Variations

  • Parmesan garlic: Add grated Parmesan + extra garlic powder
  • Herb roasted: Add rosemary or thyme
  • Spicy: Add cayenne or chili powder
