Pour cranberry sauce over raw chicken breasts

That idea actually works—and it’s a super easy way to make a sweet-savory chicken dish with almost no effort.

🍗 Cranberry Sauce Chicken (Simple Bake)

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 2–4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (canned or homemade)
  • 1 packet onion soup mix or
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • Salt & pepper
  • Optional: 1–2 tbsp mustard or a splash of orange juice

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  2. Place raw chicken breasts in a baking dish
  3. Season lightly with salt and pepper
  4. Pour cranberry sauce evenly over the chicken
  5. Sprinkle onion soup mix (or your spices) on top
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30–40 minutes
  7. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to slightly caramelize

  • Sweet + tangy from cranberry
  • Savory from the seasoning
  • Juicy, tender chicken

💡 Tips:

  • Add sliced onions or potatoes for a full one-pan meal
  • Use whole-berry cranberry sauce for better texture

  • Make sure chicken reaches 75°C (165°F) internally
  • Don’t reuse sauce that touched raw chicken unless it’s cooked
