Ingredients
Peach filling

5–6 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)

1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

1 tsp cornstarch (if peaches are very juicy)
Cobbler topping

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

1 cup milk

½ cup (1 stick) melted butter
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare peaches:
Mix peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Set aside. -
Butter first:
Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish. -
Make batter:
Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. -
Layer (don’t stir):
Pour batter over the butter. Spoon peaches evenly on top. -
Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
