Oven-Baked BBQ Ribs
Ingredients (serves 4–6)
- 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp chili powder (optional)
- 1½ cups barbecue sauce (divided)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
How to Make It
1. Prep the Ribs
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- Pat dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
2. Make the Sauce
Mix 1 cup BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire.
3. Bake Low & Slow
- Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Brush generously with sauce.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake 2½–3 hours, until ribs are very tender.
4. Sauce & Caramelize
- Remove foil.
- Brush with remaining BBQ sauce.
- Increase oven to 425°F (220°C) or switch to broil.
- Bake/broil 5–10 minutes, until sticky and lightly charred (watch closely).
5. Rest & Serve
Let ribs rest 5–10 minutes before cutting.
