Here’s a Mediterranean Ground Beef Skillet that’s bright, savory, and perfect for weeknights.


🥩🌿 Mediterranean Ground Beef Skillet

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 450 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional but very Mediterranean)
  • Salt & pepper

Add-ins

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives, sliced
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach or kale
  • Fresh parsley or dill, chopped

Instructions

1️⃣ Brown the beef

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add onion, cook 2–3 min until soft.
  • Add garlic, cook 30 sec.
  • Add ground beef, break it up, cook until browned.
  • Season with paprika, cumin, oregano, cinnamon, salt & pepper.

2️⃣ Add veggies

  • Stir in tomatoes and olives.
  • Cook 2–3 minutes until tomatoes soften.

3️⃣ Finish

  • Add spinach, cook just until wilted.
  • Turn off heat.
  • Sprinkle feta and fresh herbs.

🍽️ How to Serve

  • Over rice, couscous, or quinoa
  • Stuffed into pita or wraps
  • With roasted potatoes
  • As a low-carb bowl with cucumber & yogurt sauce

  • Don’t skip herbs—fresh makes it pop
  • Cinnamon adds warmth (not sweetness)
  • Feta goes on last so it stays creamy
