HONEY GLAZED CHICKEN RECIPE

Here’s a Honey Glazed Chicken that’s sticky, sweet-savory, and easy enough for a weeknight 🍯🍗

Honey Glazed Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4–6 chicken thighs or breasts
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup or BBQ sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Preheat to 400°F (205°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Season chicken
    Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Make glaze
    In a bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, vinegar, and oil.
  4. Bake
    Place chicken in dish and pour glaze over top.
    Bake uncovered:

    • 25–30 minutes (breasts)
    • 35–40 minutes (thighs)
  5. Glaze & caramelize
    Spoon sauce over chicken halfway through.
    Broil 2–3 minutes at the end for a sticky finish.
  6. Serve
    Spoon extra glaze over chicken before serving.

Serving Ideas

  • Steamed rice or mashed potatoes
  • Roasted carrots, broccoli, or green beans
  • Simple side salad

Tips & Variations

  • Spicy: Add red pepper flakes or sriracha
  • Garlic lovers: Double the garlic
  • Slow cooker: Low 5–6 hours, then broil to finish
  • Air fryer: 375°F for 14–18 minutes, flipping once
