Here’s the easy, no-fail way to make hard-boiled eggs 🥚


🥚 Perfect Hard-Boiled Eggs

Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • Water

Stovetop Method (Most Popular)

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan in a single layer.
  2. Add cold water to cover eggs by about 1 inch.
  3. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, turn off heat, cover the pan, and let sit:
    • 10–12 minutes for fully hard-boiled
  5. Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to stop cooking.
  6. Tap, roll, and peel.

Easy-Peel Tips

  • Use older eggs (very fresh eggs are harder to peel)
  • Crack the bottom (wide end) first
  • Peel under running water
  • Add a little baking soda or vinegar to boiling water (optional)

Storage

  • Keep unpeeled eggs in the fridge up to 7 days
  • Peeled eggs should be eaten within 3–4 days

Optional Methods

  • Instant Pot: 5 minutes pressure, 5 minutes natural release, ice bath
  • Air fryer: 270°F for 15 minutes (then ice bath)
