Here’s a simple, classic ham salad that’s perfect for spreading on crackers—creamy, a little tangy, and super easy.


🥪 Ham Salad (Perfect for Crackers)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped cooked ham (or canned ham)
  • ⅓–½ cup mayonnaise (to taste)
  • 1 tsp yellow or Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish (or finely chopped dill pickles)
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped onion (optional)
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the ham
    • Finely chop or pulse briefly in a food processor (don’t overprocess).
  2. Mix
    • In a bowl, combine ham, mayo, mustard, relish, onion, and pepper.
    • Stir until creamy and spreadable.
  3. Chill
    • Refrigerate 20–30 minutes for best flavor.
  4. Serve
    • Spoon onto crackers or serve as a dip with sturdy crackers.

Tips & Variations

  • Creamier: Add a tablespoon of cream cheese.
  • Tangy: Add a splash of pickle juice or lemon juice.
  • Crunch: Mix in finely diced celery.
  • Spicy: Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne.

Best crackers: Ritz, saltines, wheat crackers, or buttery rounds.
