Ground beef and Brussel sprouts

Oh that’s a great combo — hearty, savory, and surprisingly balanced. 🥩🥬
Here’s a simple, flavorful skillet version you can make in under 30 minutes.


Ground Beef & Brussels Sprouts Skillet

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (or thinly sliced)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (if needed)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Brown the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook ground beef until browned.
  • Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Remove beef and set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Brussels Sprouts

  • In the same skillet, add a little olive oil if needed.
  • Add Brussels sprouts cut-side down.
  • Let them cook undisturbed 3–4 minutes to caramelize.
  • Stir and cook another 4–5 minutes until tender.

3️⃣ Add Flavor

  • Add onion and cook 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  • Return beef to the skillet.
  • Add soy sauce, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, paprika, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Cook together 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.

🍽 Optional Add-Ins

  • Shredded parmesan on top
  • A splash of balsamic vinegar
  • Crumbled bacon
  • Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or cauliflower rice
  • Top with a fried egg for a breakfast-for-dinner vibe

🧡 Low-Carb Version

Skip any grains and add:

  • A handful of shredded cheddar
  • A spoonful of cream cheese stirred in at the end
