Ingredients

  • 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (panko works best)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Arrange scallops in a single layer in the baking dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and parsley.
  4. Spoon garlic butter mixture evenly over scallops.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, until scallops are opaque and topping is golden.
  6. Optional: Broil 1–2 minutes for extra browning.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
