Here’s a simple, classic Frozen Fruit Salad recipe — creamy, fruity, lightly sweet, and perfect to make ahead!


❄️ Frozen Fruit Salad (Classic Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or 1 tub whipped topping)

  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional, to taste)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped

  • 1 cup bananas, sliced

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional but traditional)

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream base

    • Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

    • (If using whipped topping, skip the whipping.)

  2. Combine fruit

    • Gently fold in all fruit, marshmallows, and nuts.

  3. Freeze

    • Pour mixture into a loaf pan or 8×8 dish lined with parchment or plastic wrap.

    • Smooth the top and cover tightly.

    • Freeze at least 4 hours, or until firm.

  4. Serve

    • Let stand at room temperature for 10–15 minutes to soften slightly.

    • Slice or scoop and serve cold.


⭐ Tips & Variations

  • Cream cheese version: Add 4 oz softened cream cheese to make it richer.

  • Pink style: Stir in 2–3 tbsp maraschino cherry juice.

  • Healthier: Use Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream.

  • Fruits that freeze best: pineapple, berries, mango, peach, cherries. Avoid melons (turn mushy).
