🍰 Five Flavor Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ teaspoon rum extract
  • ½ teaspoon lemon extract
  • ¼ teaspoon orange extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with dry.
  6. Stir in all five extracts until evenly combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan 15 minutes, then remove and cool completely.

  • Use citrus zest (lemon or orange) for brighter flavor
