Dump cabbage and these ingredients in slow cooker

Love a good “dump and go” meal 🙌🥬
Here’s an easy, hearty slow cooker cabbage dinner you can throw together in minutes.


🥬 Slow Cooker Cabbage & Sausage (Dump Recipe)

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (optional but adds flavor)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Dump everything into the slow cooker.
2️⃣ Stir gently to combine.
3️⃣ Cook on:

  • LOW for 6–7 hours
    or
  • HIGH for 3–4 hours

4️⃣ Stir before serving.

🍽 Optional Add-Ins

  • 2–3 diced potatoes (make it heartier)
  • 1 cup carrots
  • Red pepper flakes for heat
  • ½ tsp caraway seeds for classic cabbage flavor

🥩 Protein Swaps

  • Ground beef (brown first for best flavor)
  • Chicken thighs
  • Ham chunks

🧄 Flavor Boost Tip

For richer flavor, brown the sausage in a skillet before adding — but it’s optional if you truly want “dump and go.”
