Ingredients
Patties
- 1Β½ lbs ground beef (80/20 is perfect)
- Β½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
- 1 packet (or 1 Tbsp) onion soup mix
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Β½ tsp garlic powder
- Β½ tsp black pepper
Gravy
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced (optional but great)
- 1 Tbsp ketchup (classic Salisbury flavor)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Make the patties
Mix all patty ingredients gently (donβt overwork). Form into 6β8 oval patties. - Optional but recommended:
Brown patties in a skillet 2β3 minutes per side for extra flavor. (You can skip if rushed.) - Layer the crockpot
- Add mushrooms and onions to the bottom
- Place patties on top
- Mix gravy
Whisk beef broth, gravy mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire. Pour over everything. - Cook
- Low: 6β7 hours
- High: 3β4 hours
Patties should be tender and gravy thickened.
