Here is an easy, tender, flavorful Crockpot Pepper Steak recipe — a dump-and-go slow cooker meal with melt-in-your-mouth beef and savory gravy. 🍛🌶️


🫑🥩 Crockpot Pepper Steak

Ingredients (6 servings)

  • 2 lbs beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into thin strips

  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (green + red recommended)

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes (optional but traditional)

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • ⅓ cup beef broth

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch + 3 tbsp cold water (for thickening)


⭐ Instructions

1. Prepare the meat & veggies

Add to the slow cooker:

  • Sliced beef

  • Bell peppers

  • Onion

  • Garlic


2. Make the sauce

In a bowl, whisk together:

  • Soy sauce

  • Beef broth

  • Brown sugar

  • Worcestershire

  • Black pepper

  • Paprika

Pour over the beef and vegetables.

(Add diced tomatoes now if using.)


3. Cook

  • Cover and cook 6–7 hours on LOW
    or 3–4 hours on HIGH
    Beef should be very tender.


4. Thicken the sauce

  • Stir together cornstarch + water.

  • Pour into the crockpot.

  • Cook on HIGH for 15–20 minutes until the sauce thickens.


5. Serve

Great over:

  • White rice

  • Fried rice

  • Mashed potatoes

  • Noodles

Garnish with extra sliced peppers or green onions if desired.


⭐ Tips

  • Cutting steak against the grain makes it extra tender.

  • Add mushrooms for extra flavor.

  • For sweeter sauce, add 2 tbsp honey.

  • For spicy version, add more red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
