🍯🧄 Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1½ lbs (680 g) chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup cornstarch (or flour)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep chicken
    Season chicken with salt and pepper.
    Dip pieces in egg, then coat in cornstarch.
  2. Fry
    Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
    Fry chicken in batches 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
    Drain on paper towels.
  3. Make sauce
    In a clean pan, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and chili flakes.
    Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Toss chicken
    Add crispy chicken to the sauce and toss quickly to coat.
  5. Serve hot
    Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
