Here’s a crispy, golden, and buttery garlic potato recipe that’s simple but absolutely addictive. Perfect as a side for dinner or even as a snack!


🥔 Crispy Garlic Butter Potatoes

Serves: 4
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 35–40 minutes


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (about 900g) small potatoes (Yukon Gold or red potatoes)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional for color/flavor)
  • 2–3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: ½ tsp dried rosemary or thyme

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

2. Prepare Potatoes

  1. Wash potatoes and cut into even bite-sized pieces.
  2. Pat dry with a towel (dry potatoes crisp up better).

3. Toss with Oil & Seasonings

  • In a large bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs if using.

4. Roast

  1. Spread potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  2. Roast 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

5. Garlic Butter Finish

  1. While potatoes roast, melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour garlic butter over roasted potatoes and toss well.

6. Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve hot alongside chicken, steak, fish, or even breakfast eggs.

⭐ Tips & Variations

  • Extra crispy: Parboil potatoes for 5 minutes before roasting.
  • Spicy: Add ½ tsp chili flakes to the oil mix.
  • Cheesy: Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top after tossing with garlic butter.
  • Herby: Mix in rosemary, thyme, or oregano for extra flavor.
  • Air Fryer Version: 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, shake halfway.
