These are ultra-comforting baked potatoes where a rich cream mixture is poured over sliced potatoes and baked until tender inside with golden edges on top.
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
- 4 large russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried)
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère or sharp cheddar (optional but delicious)

🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish.
2️⃣ Slice Potatoes
Peel (optional) and slice potatoes about ⅛-inch thick.
Arrange them upright in the baking dish (stacked vertically for a pretty presentation, or layered flat).
3️⃣ Make Cream Mixture
Whisk together:

- Salt & pepper
- Thyme
Pour evenly over potatoes.

Cover with foil and bake 40 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle cheese (if using), and bake another 25–35 minutes until tender and golden on top.
5️⃣ Rest & Serve
Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Garnish with parsley.
