Creamy Parmesan Garlic Beef Bowtie Pasta
Ingredients (serves 4–6)
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk (or half-and-half for richer sauce)
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- Optional: red pepper flakes, parsley
How to Make It
- Cook the pasta
Boil bowtie in well-salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain. - Brown the beef
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high.
Add beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
Drain excess grease and set beef aside. - Garlic base
In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. - Make it creamy
Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in milk. Simmer until thickened, 3–5 minutes. - Cheese + seasoning
Stir in Parmesan, Italian seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes if using. - Bring it together
Add beef and pasta to sauce.
Toss, adding pasta water as needed for a silky finish. - Finish
Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
