Instructions

    • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes (don’t brown).
  3. Make the cream sauce
    • Slowly whisk in milk.
    • Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth (5–7 minutes).
  4. Add beef
    • Stir in chipped beef and plenty of black pepper.
    • Simmer 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve
    • Spoon over hot toast.
    • Serve immediately.
