Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz / 225 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare filling:
    • In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, shredded cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Stir until well combined.
  3. Assemble rolls:
    • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
    • Place 1–2 tablespoons of chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
    • Roll up toward the point, sealing edges lightly.
  4. Bake:
    • Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve:
    • Sprinkle with green onions or parsley if desired.
    • Serve warm as a snack, appetizer, or easy dinner.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra gooey: Add a few extra cheese slices on top before baking.
  • Spicy: Mix in a little hot sauce or chopped jalapeños.
  • Make-ahead: Assemble and freeze unbaked rolls; bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
  • Kid-friendly twist: Use ham instead of chicken or add a little cream cheese with ranch seasoning.
