🍫 Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars (No-Bake)

Ingredients

Crunch Layer

  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal (e.g., Rice Krispies)
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels (optional but great for extra crunch)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Caramel Layer

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup light corn syrup (or honey)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Chocolate Topping

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter or coconut oil (for smooth melting)

🔪 Instructions

1. Prepare the Pan

  • Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.

2. Make the Crunch Base

  • In a large bowl, mix:
    • Rice cereal
    • Crushed pretzels
    • Mini marshmallows (if using)
  • Set aside.

3. Cook the Caramel

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add:
    • Brown sugar
    • Butter
    • Corn syrup
    • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Stir continuously until it begins to bubble.
  • Reduce heat and cook 5–6 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Remove from heat; stir in vanilla & salt.

4. Combine

  • Pour the hot caramel over the cereal mixture.
  • Mix quickly until everything is coated.
  • Press firmly into the prepared pan. (Lightly buttered hands help!)

5. Add the Chocolate Layer

  • Melt chocolate chips + butter/coconut oil.
  • Spread evenly over the caramel crunch mixture.

6. Chill

  • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until fully set.
  • Cut into bars.

  • Use dark chocolate for a richer taste.
  • Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top.
