Here’s a simple Cabbage with Eggs recipe 🥬🥚—quick, budget-friendly, and great for breakfast, lunch, or a light dinner.


Cabbage with Eggs

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 3 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 3–4 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional add-ins:
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • ¼ teaspoon paprika or black pepper
    • Sliced green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the cabbage
    • Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add cabbage (and garlic if using).
    • Cook 5–7 minutes, stirring, until softened and lightly browned.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the eggs
    • Pour beaten eggs over the cabbage.
    • Let set slightly, then gently scramble with the cabbage until eggs are cooked through.
  3. Serve
    • Taste and adjust seasoning.
    • Serve hot on its own or with bread or rice.

Easy Variations

  • 🧄 Add soy sauce instead of salt for an Asian-style version
  • 🥓 Cook cabbage in bacon grease or add chopped cooked bacon
  • 🧀 Sprinkle with cheese before serving
  • 🌶 Add chili flakes or hot sauce for heat
