Here’s a simple, comforting way to make Cabbage with Eggs—quick, inexpensive, and surprisingly delicious.

Simple Cabbage with Eggs (Skillet Style)

Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 3–4 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 3–4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, sliced (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional add-ins: paprika, chili flakes, soy sauce, or a splash of vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cook the cabbage
    Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    Add onion (if using) and cook until soft.
    Add cabbage and a pinch of salt. Cook 6–8 minutes, stirring, until tender and lightly caramelized.
    Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  2. Add the eggs
    Beat eggs lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper.
    Pour eggs over cabbage and gently stir until eggs are just set.
  3. Finish & serve
    Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot.

Variations

  • Mexican-style: Add diced tomato and serrano; finish with salsa
  • Asian-style: Add soy sauce and sesame oil
  • Low-carb: Keep it simple with butter, salt, and pepper
  • Hearty: Add cooked sausage or bacon

Serve with tortillas, toast, or on its own for a quick meal.
