🍚 Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 2 cups cooked white rice (or brown rice)
  • 250–300g beef (thinly sliced; sirloin or flank works well)
  • 1–2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, but adds depth)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp sugar (balances flavors)
  • 1 tbsp oil (for cooking)
  • Optional: chili flakes or fresh green chilies for heat

🔪 Instructions

  1. Prep the rice
    Cook rice ahead of time or use leftover rice for best texture.
  2. Cook the beef
    Heat oil in a pan or wok over high heat.
    Add beef and sear quickly (2–3 minutes) until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté aromatics
    In the same pan, add garlic and onions. Cook until fragrant.
  4. Add peppers
    Toss in sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes (keep them slightly crisp).
  5. Bring it together
    Return beef to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper.
    Stir well and cook another 2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the bowl
    Serve hot over rice. Add extra black pepper or chili if you like heat.
