Ingredients

1 cup self-raising flour

1 cup desiccated coconut

1 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp cocoa powder

125 g butter, melted
-
½ cup milk
-
1 tsp vanilla essence
Chocolate Icing

1½ cups icing sugar
-
2 tbsp cocoa powder
-
1½–2 tbsp boiling water

1 tbsp butter, melted
-
Optional topping: desiccated coconut or chocolate sprinkles
Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Grease or line a slice tin.

In a bowl, mix flour, coconut, brown sugar, and cocoa.

Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir until well combined.

Press mixture evenly into the tin.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, until firm but still soft.

Let cool slightly.
Icing
7. Mix icing sugar and cocoa. Add melted butter and boiling water until smooth.
8. Spread over warm slice.
9. Sprinkle with coconut or sprinkles if desired.
10. Allow to set, then cut into squares.
Tips

For a chewy slice, don’t overbake.
