Here’s a quick and delicious Apple Pie Biscuits recipe—flaky, buttery biscuits with a sweet apple filling 🍎🥐


🍎 Apple Pie Biscuits

Ingredients

Biscuits

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ¾ cup milk

Apple Filling

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Topping (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the filling: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook 5–7 minutes until apples are tender but not mushy. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Make the biscuits: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined.
  4. Assemble biscuits: On a floured surface, roll out dough to about ½ inch thick. Cut into circles using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  5. Fill biscuits: Spoon a small amount of apple mixture onto the center of half the circles. Top with remaining biscuit circles and pinch edges to seal.
  6. Place biscuits on baking sheet. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar topping if desired.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm, plain or with a drizzle of icing.

  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the filling for crunch
  • Brush tops with melted butter before baking for extra golden color
  • Drizzle vanilla glaze (powdered sugar + milk) over warm biscuits for dessert style
  • Use pre-made pie crust for a quicker version
