Cheddar drop biscuits

Cheddar Drop Biscuits are soft, fluffy biscuits loaded with cheesy flavor. They’re called “drop” biscuits because you simply scoop the dough onto a baking sheet—no rolling or cutting needed. 🧀🥐


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the cold butter and cut it into the flour with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
  4. Stir in the shredded Cheddar Cheese.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix just until a soft dough forms.
  6. Use a spoon to drop mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.

Optional Garlic Butter Topping

Mix:

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • A little parsley

Brush over the hot biscuits for extra flavor.

  • Fried Chicken 🍗

💡 Tip: Use cold butter to get light, flaky biscuits.
