Classic, no-frills, forever perfect 🍕❤️
Here’s a straight-up cheese pizza—crispy crust, gooey cheese, real pizza flavor.

Cheese Pizza (Classic)

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Sauce

  • ½ cup pizza sauce (or crushed tomatoes)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Cheese

  • 2–2½ cups low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
  • Optional: ¼ cup Parmesan, grated

Instructions

  1. Heat oven
    Preheat to 475–500°F (245–260°C).
    Use a pizza stone or baking sheet (preheat it too if you can).
  2. Stretch the dough
    On a floured surface, stretch or roll dough into a 12–14 inch circle.
  3. Sauce it
    Mix sauce with olive oil and seasonings.
    Spread a thin, even layer—leave a border for the crust.
  4. Cheese time
    Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over sauce.
    Add Parmesan if using.
  5. Bake
    • On stone: 8–10 minutes
    • On baking sheet: 10–12 minutes
      Until bubbly and golden with crisp edges.
  6. Finish
    Rest 2 minutes. Slice. Devour.

  • 🔥 Broil last 30–60 seconds for browned cheese
  • 🌿 Sprinkle dried oregano or basil after baking
  • 🧈 Brush crust with olive oil or garlic butter
