Biscuits from the Heart

Posted on January 16, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a warm, comforting recipe for Biscuits from the Heart — soft, fluffy, and made with simple pantry ingredients ❤️

Biscuits from the Heart

Ingredients (makes about 8–10 biscuits)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup (1 stick) cold butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup milk (or buttermilk for extra tenderness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Preheat to 425°F (220°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter
    • Add cold butter and cut it into the flour using a pastry cutter or fingers until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
  4. Add milk
    • Pour in milk and gently stir just until dough comes together. Do not overmix.
  5. Shape biscuits
    • Turn dough onto a floured surface.
    • Pat or roll to about ¾-inch thick.
    • Cut with a biscuit cutter or glass.
  6. Bake
    • Place biscuits close together on baking sheet.
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm
    • Brush tops with melted butter if desired.

Heartfelt Tips

  • Cold butter = flaky layers
  • Don’t twist the cutter—press straight down
  • For extra love, add a drizzle of honey or homemade jam

If you’d like, I can also share a buttermilk-only 3-ingredient version or a drop biscuit recipe that’s even quicker.
