Chocolate Cream Cups
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 200 ml (¾ cup + 1 tbsp) heavy cream
- 200 ml (¾ cup + 1 tbsp) milk
- 100 g (3.5 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heat the dairy
In a saucepan, warm the milk and cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling. - Mix thickener
In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold milk or water. - Thicken
Add sugar, salt, and the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan. Whisk constantly until it thickens (about 2–3 minutes). - Add chocolate
Remove from heat. Add chopped chocolate and vanilla. Stir until completely smooth. - Chill
Pour into serving cups. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
