Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices of bread (any kind: white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare bread: Cut slices into cubes or leave whole. Place in a greased baking dish.
  3. Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the bread.
  4. Whisk eggs: Beat eggs and pour evenly over bread and cheese.
  5. Bake: 20–25 minutes until eggs are fully set and the top is golden.
  6. Serve: Optional: add salt, pepper, or fresh herbs.
