Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 2 large cucumbers (or 4 small), thinly sliced

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)
  • Β½ tsp garlic powder
  • Β½ tsp sugar (optional but balances flavor)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

1. Prep the cucumbers

  • Peel if desired.
  • Slice thinly (a mandoline works great).
  • If you want a less watery salad:
    • Sprinkle slices with Β½ tsp salt
    • Let sit in a colander 10–15 minutes
    • Pat dry

2. Make the creamy dressing

In a bowl, whisk together:

  • sour cream
  • vinegar or lemon juice
  • dill
  • garlic powder
  • sugar (optional)
  • salt & pepper

3. Combine

  • Add cucumbers (and onions if using).
  • Toss gently until well-coated.

4. Chill & serve

  • Chill 20–30 minutes for best flavor.
  • Serve cold.
