Air frying baby bell cheese (like Babybel cheese) is a fun snack—but you need to do it right or it’ll melt into a puddle 😄

Here’s the best way to get a crispy outside + gooey center 🧀🔥


🧀 Air Fryer Babybel Cheese

🧾 Ingredients

  • Babybel cheese (wax removed!)
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • ½–1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best)
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, chili flakes

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the cheese

  • Remove the red wax completely
  • Pat dry so coating sticks well

2. Bread it (important step!)

  • Roll in flour
  • Dip in egg
  • Coat in breadcrumbs
    👉 For best results: double coat (repeat egg + breadcrumbs)

3. Chill

  • Freeze coated cheese for 20–30 minutes
    👉 This prevents it from melting too fast

4. Air fry

  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F)
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy

5. Serve immediately

  • Inside will be soft and melty

🍯 Dipping ideas

  • Marinara sauce
  • Honey or hot honey
  • Garlic mayo
  • Chili sauce

⚠️ Tips (very important)

  • Don’t skip freezing → prevents cheese explosion
  • Don’t overcook → they burst open
  • Use thick coating → better crisp + less leakage

Cut them in half before coating for mini cheese bites—great for parties.
