Here’s a super simple and foolproof baked potato recipe—crispy skin, fluffy inside:


⭐ Perfect Baked Potato

Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes (best for fluffy insides)

  • Olive oil or melted butter

  • Salt (coarse is best)

  • Optional: pepper, garlic powder, paprika


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Prep potatoes:

    • Scrub well and dry.

    • Poke 5–6 holes with a fork to release steam.

    • Rub with oil/butter and sprinkle generously with salt.

  3. Bake directly on the oven rack (best for crispy skin) for 50–60 minutes, depending on size.

  4. Check doneness:
    Squeeze gently—should feel soft. Or insert a fork easily into the center.

  5. Serve:
    Slice open, fluff with a fork, and add toppings.
