Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
For the Filling
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
or 2 cans for extra-thick bars

1. Preheat Oven
- Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 10×15 jelly roll pan or a 9×13 for thicker bars.
2. Make the Batter
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Add vanilla + almond extract.
- Add flour and salt; mix until a thick batter forms.
3. Create the Layers
- Spread about ⅔ of the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
