Delicious Brown Sugar Chops

Here’s a simple, mouth-watering recipe for Delicious Brown Sugar Chops—sweet, savory, caramelized, and super tender. Works with pork chops (bone-in or boneless).


Delicious Brown Sugar Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, ¾–1 inch thick)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Optional additions:

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (for tang)
  • Sliced onions to cook with chops

Instructions

1. Season and sear the chops

  1. Pat pork chops dry.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  4. Sear chops 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned. Remove and set aside.

2. Make the brown sugar glaze

  1. Reduce heat to medium.
  2. Add remaining butter to the skillet.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire, and garlic.
  4. Cook 1–2 minutes, stirring, until it becomes a glossy glaze.

3. Finish cooking the chops

  1. Return chops to the pan.
  2. Spoon glaze over the top.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 5–8 minutes, or until chops are cooked through and the sauce thickens into a sticky coating.

(Internal temp should reach 145°F (63°C).)

4. Serve

Plate chops and drizzle remaining glaze over the top.

Tips

  • Dark brown sugar gives a richer, deeper flavor.
  • Add onions to cook in the glaze for extra sweetness.
