Orange juice cake

Here’s a soft, moist, and citrusy orange juice cake—simple to make and full of fresh flavor:


🍊 Orange Juice Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup oil (vegetable or sunflower)
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange (optional, but highly recommended)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a cake pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients
    • In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until light
    • Add oil, orange juice, vanilla, and zest
  3. Add dry ingredients
    • Sift in flour and baking powder
    • Mix gently until smooth (don’t overmix)
  4. Bake
    • Pour into pan
    • Bake for 30–40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean

🍯 Optional orange syrup (for extra moisture)

  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar

Heat until sugar dissolves, then pour over warm cake.

  • Use fresh juice for the best flavor
  • Add a light glaze (powdered sugar + orange juice) on top
  • Sprinkle a little zest for a bright finish
