🥘 One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
  • 2–3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Season the chicken
    • Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
  2. Cook chicken in one pan
    • Heat olive oil or 1 tbsp butter over medium heat
    • Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden (doesn’t need to be fully cooked yet)
    • Remove chicken and set aside
  3. Cook noodles in the same pan
    • Add chicken broth to the pan and bring to a simmer
    • Stir in noodles, cover, and cook according to package directions (usually 7–9 minutes), stirring occasionally
  4. Finish cooking the chicken
    • Nestle chicken back into the pan on top of the noodles
    • Cover and cook another 5–7 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C)
  5. Add butter & cheese
    • Stir in butter and Parmesan for creamy, rich noodles
    • Garnish with parsley

  • Add frozen peas or spinach in the last 2–3 minutes for extra veggies
  • For more flavor, add a splash of lemon juice or white wine when simmering the noodles
  • Use chicken thighs for juicier meat if you prefer
