Homemade Banana Pudding is a classic creamy dessert made with layers of bananas, vanilla pudding, and cookies. Itโ€™s simple, comforting, and perfect for family gatherings. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฎ

Ingredients

  • 3โ€“4 ripe Bananas, sliced

  • 1 box instant Vanilla Pudding mix

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 container whipped topping or whipped cream

  • 1 box Vanilla Wafers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding:
In a bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with milk until thick.

  2. Add sweetness and flavor:
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Fold in half of the whipped topping.

  3. Layer the dessert:
In a dish, add a layer of Vanilla Wafers, then sliced Bananas, then pudding. Repeat layers.

  4. Top it off:
Spread the remaining whipped topping on top and add a few crushed wafers for garnish.

  5. Chill:
Refrigerate for 3โ€“4 hours so the flavors blend and the cookies soften.

Tips

  • Use ripe but firm bananas so they donโ€™t turn mushy.

  • For extra flavor, add a little cream cheese to the pudding mixture.

  • Best served cold.

๐Ÿฐ Fun fact: This dessert became extremely popular in the southern United States and is often served at holidays and family dinners.
