You can make tender, flavorful slow-cooker beef chuck with one simple mixture poured right over the raw meat. 🥩🍲

Slow Cooker Beef Chuck with Savory Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into large chunks
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)

Instructions

  1. Place the raw beef chuck pieces into the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper, onion powder, and cornstarch.
  3. Pour the mixture over the beef so it coats the meat.
  4. Cover and cook:
    • Low: 7–8 hours
    • High: 4–5 hours

The beef will become very tender and shred easily, with a rich savory gravy.
