🥬🥓 Cabbage and Bacon Rolls

Cabbage and Bacon Rolls are a comforting dish where tender cabbage leaves are wrapped around a savory bacon mixture and baked in a flavorful sauce. They’re hearty, simple, and perfect for family dinners.


🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 large Cabbage
  • 8–10 slices Bacon
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the cabbage
Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch whole cabbage leaves for 2–3 minutes until soft enough to roll.

2️⃣ Cook the bacon
In a skillet, cook bacon until slightly crisp. Chop it into small pieces.

3️⃣ Make the filling
In a bowl combine:

  • ground beef
  • chopped bacon
  • onion
  • garlic
  • cooked rice
  • paprika, salt, and black pepper

Mix well.

4️⃣ Fill and roll
Place a spoonful of filling on each cabbage leaf and roll tightly like a burrito.

5️⃣ Arrange in baking dish
Place the rolls in a baking dish and pour tomato sauce over them.

6️⃣ Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes until cooked through.


🍽️ Serving Ideas

Serve with:

  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Crusty Bread
  • A fresh Green Salad

💡 Tip:
For extra flavor, sprinkle shredded Cheddar Cheese over the rolls during the last 10 minutes of baking.
