peanut butter cookies

🥜🍪 Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies are soft in the center, slightly crisp on the edges, and full of rich peanut butter flavor.


🛒 Ingredients (Makes about 18 cookies)

  • 1 cup Peanut butter
  • ¾ cup sugar (or ½ cup white + ¼ cup brown sugar)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

🥣 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven
Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix the dough
In a bowl combine:

  • peanut butter
  • sugar
  • egg
  • vanilla
  • baking soda
  • salt

Mix until smooth.

3️⃣ Shape cookies
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.

4️⃣ Make the classic pattern
Press each cookie gently with a fork in a crisscross pattern.

5️⃣ Bake
Bake 8–10 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.

6️⃣ Cool
Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.


💡 Tips

  • For softer cookies, don’t overbake.
  • Add chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
  • Sprinkle a little sea salt on top before baking.

Mix:

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg

Bake the same way for simple, chewy cookies.
